Experience Tiberias

Back to All Articles

Located on the southwest shores of Lake Kinneret , or the Sea of Galilee as it’s otherwise known, Tiberias serves as the primary tourist destination for those looking to visit this part of Israel.

The lake itself is one big tourist attraction, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy yachting, water-skiing, fishing and a host of other activities, all set against a picturesque backdrop. Restaurants with lake views provide the perfect setting in which to wine and dine.

Visitors to Tiberias will also find an assortment of other attractions to enjoy, including a number of sites that depict its long history, which dates back to before Roman times. Perhaps the region’s most famous tourist attraction can be found in Tiberias Hot Springs, which is home to 17 hot springs. Like the Dead Sea – Israel’s other famous lake – these springs are said to be therapeutic.

The region is also home to the likes of the Golan Heights and Nazareth, two destinations visitors are sure to find interesting and enjoyable.
