Tiberias

Tiberias has been a sought after destination since Roman times. Today the city boasts many popular tourist attractions including a marina, water park, beaches and therapeutic hot springs. There are also a variety of ancient sites to see including the Dona Gracia Museum which is housed in the city’s castle, and the remains of the Old City walls. The Hamath Tiberias National Park is home to an ancient third century synagogue famous for its beautiful mosaic floor.

The city is set on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, inviting visitors to participate in water sports or take a scenic boat trip. Popular for its nightlife, visitors can also enjoy a late night ‘disco’ cruise, or head to the Bet Gabriel Amphitheater to take in a film or live performance.
