Haifa, a popular tourist destination and one of the country’s most picturesque locations, plays host to thousands of visitors arriving every year to enjoy the beautiful scenery and beaches.

The Baha'i Gardens is an essential destination for followers of the Baha'i religion as well as for tourists who come to admire the inspirational terraces situated on Mount Carmel. The Louis boardwalk offers visitors and locals alike the opportunity to take in glorious views over the Gulf of Haifa, while in the town below there’s a wealth of museums, shops and restaurants to peruse. Visitors can ascend Mount Carmel via cable car, arriving at the Stella Maris lookout on Mount Carmel ridge. On the way down there’s the option to take the steps and stop off at Elijah’s Cave, while benefiting from glorious views along the way. 

If you opt to hire a car it's easy to access the local forests and woodland in Mount Carmel National Park, or enjoy a picnic at one of the many rest areas located here.
