Experience Netanya
Back to All ArticlesSituated on the Mediterranean coast just north of Tel Aviv, the city of Netanya is fast becoming Israel’s most sought after beach holiday destination. With beautiful sands, warm waters, almost constant sunshine and a wealth of seafront activities and amenities, it’s not hard to see why.
While bathing and sunbathing are popular activities, plenty of visitors enjoy swimming, diving, surfing and other water-based thrills. Meanwhile, the cliffs – which are unique to this part of the country – are no less than a hand glider’s paradise. For those not content with lying out on the sand, a promenade stretches the entire length of the beach, offering plenty of magnificent sights along the way.
The coastline is by no means Netanya’s only attraction. Nature reserves and beautiful parks can be found throughout the region, including one park that houses a 1,000-year-old sycamore tree. The city’s streets house shops, restaurants, cafés, bars, markets, museums and more. An amphitheater hosts summer concerts, the perfect way to spend a summer evening.
